The College has conducted a five day online and offline National Level Virtual FDP on Revised NAAC Framework guidelines 2020 under UGC Paramarsh Scheme from 26th July 2021 to 30th July 2021. 220 participants from all over the country have participated.
Institution 's Innovation Council of V.O.Chidambaram College was established on 18.11.2020 as per the guidelines of UGC and with an objective of motivating and churning out the aspirations of the students.

The Multi Linguistic Learning Centre of V.O.Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi commenced ''The French course Al Level'' on the 25th of July, 2019 in association with 'ln@word ', a multi-lingual foreign language institute based in Chennai that conducts foreign language classes in French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and English The course was inaugurated by Dr.C.Veerabahu , Principal, V.O.Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi in the presence of the directors of 'in@word '
Indian Small and Rural Biz Expo. Feb. 20 19 was organised by the college in association with the Forum for Micro and Small Enterprise, Chennai (A Unit of Puthiya Thalaimurai Foundation) from 23.2.19 to 24.2.19. Mr.Sandeep Nanduri, Collector, Thoothukudi District was part of the Expo. 50 plus stalls on different small scale products and works on various micro entrepreneur topics were conducted
VOCC Academy - Training for Competitive Examinations
VOCC Academy was established in the year 2018 to foster the students to qualify themselves to get jobs. The coaching is open to the students of the college as well as the aspirants from the general public. The academy offers coaching for the following exams.
The Entrepreneurship Cell was established in tune with this. The Cell organises many seminars and lectures to open avenues to entrepreneurships for students. The following are the seminars conducted by the Cell in the college.

“Vermitechnology, Organic Farming and Bee Keeping'' a Self Employment and Hands on Training Programme: for students of all discipline was initiated by the Department of Zoology V.O.Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi from 21.02.2019 to 22.02.2019.
