Life science forum

The Life Science Forum (LSF) is a platform created by the Post Graduate and Research Department of Zoology at V.O. Chidambaram College, Thoothukudi to promote scientific temper among students, research scholars, and teaching faculty. The forum was inaugurated in 2022 by Dr. C. Veerabagu, the Principal of the college. It is headed by a student committee under the guidance of Dr. Radhika, Head of the Department, and supported by the department's faculty members.

The LSF aims to motivate students to explore their hidden knowledge and innovative thinking by organizing a variety of events, including invited talks, special lectures, an annual conference, national science day celebrations, and motivation talks for competitive exams such as CSIR-NET, GAT b, and JAM.

Here are some of the specific objectives of the LSF:

  • To promote scientific temper among students, research scholars, and teaching faculty.
  • To motivate students to explore their hidden knowledge and innovative thinking.
  • To provide a platform for students to present their research work and ideas.
  • To connect students with experts in the field of life sciences.
  • To encourage students to participate in national and international conferences.
  • To prepare students for competitive exams such as CSIR-NET, GAT b, and JAM.

The LSF is a valuable resource for students of life sciences. It provides a platform for students to learn from experts, network with other students, and develop their research skills. If you are a student of life sciences, I encourage you to get involved with the LSF.
